Terms of Use
Ticker Time · last updated 12 October 2026
Who we are
Ticker Time is made and run by its creators, BigLuongDeck and TomThatTrades ("we", "us"). By playing you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't play.
Age
- Anyone can play the solo modes (Campaign, Run mode and the daily challenge) on their own device.
- You must be 13 or older to make an account (Google or email) or to play multiplayer. The game asks your age the first time it opens; please answer honestly.
- If you are under 18, read these terms with a parent or guardian, and play with their permission.
A game, not financial advice
Ticker Time is a game played with real historical market prices and pretend money. Nothing in it is investment, financial or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Past returns shown in the game say nothing about future returns. Never base a real investment decision on the game. Prices come from public historical data and may contain mistakes or gaps.
Company names, tickers and logos belong to their owners. They are used only to name the real companies whose past prices appear in the game. Ticker Time is not connected to, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them. Characters such as The Buffet are made up, and any likeness to real people is a joke, not a claim about them.
Shells, fish and other things in the game
Shells, fish, decorations, banner styles, XP, win streaks, league places and prizes ("game items") exist only inside the game.
- They have no money value. They can't be bought with real money, sold, cashed out, or traded for anything outside the game, and we will never pay money for them.
- They aren't your property. We give you a personal permission to use them in the game while it runs.
- We may change how they are earned and what they do, change balances or prices, fix mistakes (for example taking back items paid out by a bug), or reset them, especially to keep the game fair.
- In the fish tank, a long losing streak can bring a storm that loses some of your fish. That's part of the game, and lost fish aren't replaced.
- Game items are lost if you delete your account, and items kept in a browser without an account are lost if that browser's data is cleared.
Leagues and leaderboards
Weekly leagues, the Hall of Fame and the leaderboards are for fun. Their prizes are shells only. We decide how they work (group sizes, who moves up or down, prizes) and may change that at any time. We may remove results, places or prizes that came from cheating, bugs or breaking these terms.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Use one account. Several accounts to farm shells, XP, league places or points aren't allowed.
- Pick a player name that isn't offensive or hateful, doesn't pretend to be someone else, and contains no personal information. We may change or remove a name that breaks this.
- You can delete your account at any time in the game (Account → Delete my account).
Fair play
Don't cheat. Don't script or automate play, or use bugs to your advantage. Don't attack or overload the service, and don't try to reach data that isn't yours. If you find a bug or a security problem, please tell us at the address below instead of using it. We may remove scores, points or game items, or suspend or delete accounts, that break these rules.
The service
The game is free and provided "as is". We try to keep it running and fair, but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change features, reset boards, pause the online game (for example to protect it from abuse or runaway costs) or end it at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using the game. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
Our content
The game's code, art, characters, text and music belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Don't copy, sell or reuse them outside the game without permission. The music credits are in the game's Settings.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date. Playing after a change means you accept it.
